“Mtn Rds” has been in our rotation for a while now. We had the idea to lean into more of a hip hop vibe for the ending and I knew exactly who I wanted on drums. I called up Nick Werth aka Galaxe, who I have looked up to musically for years and he was full steam ahead right out of the gate. We spoke on the phone about the songs musical story and the emotions behind each section. Then we sent some tracks back and fourth. The cherry on top came after Nick added vibraphone and the last touches of drum production. Nick mixed the track and Logan Firth of Camera Jams did the final mastering.
